Upon reading enumerable political, albeit well researched, musings by many of my fellow bloggers, I decided it was time for my "two cents" to be added to this Trillion Dollar Bailout. Although, I sincerely question the actual "real" numbers being spouted for this aberrant utilization of my money. I say my money for the simple truth it, in essence, belongs to you and I, the taxpayers of this once and mighty country.
As a proud and former participant in the military family, I believe this country is long over due for a reality check. We have, for many years, been walking around tugging on our collective suspenders over lofty achievement levels without consideration for consequences with regard to spending habits. Perhaps, aliens in the form of non-believers in fiscal conservatism have invaded bodies and systematically seized control of Washington D. C.
We can debate in a thousand places the reason for this economic condition, but we cannot quibble over cold hard facts! It is time Americans stand together in order to right this rapidly sinking ship. Ask yourself if this was a family financial crisis what would you do? Would you spend more money in hope that might create a better job? Or would you reduce costs in order to more efficiently use those financial resources currently at your disposal?
I know many of you have been programmed to think of deficit spending, much like our Universe as an infinitely expanding "piggy bank". Reality dictates that such is simply not the case. Of course, many reason the American economic system is cosiderably more complex than family finances. However, basic precepts of economic theory pertains to both scenarios. Consider the ramifications.
